Vows and Promises

Alden: I promise
to tell you a story when you ask for one
to email you pictures of my food
I'll always be ready to play cards with you & only play for fun
I will give you a hug when you need one & kiss you every day
to tell you what I'm thinking, to work through every hurdle & always be honest
I will always come for you. (Death cannot stop true love, all it can do is delay it for a while)
to make you pizza and not use too much cheese or honey
I'll take vacations with you every few months, if just for the day
to laugh in bed and never take love too seriously
I will tell you when I'm getting hungry
and get you all the strange things you'll want when you're pregnant
I will learn how to warm cold milk
to teach our children awareness & conscientiousness
I will smile for you
And kiss you
And stand you by everything we come across
I vow to always trust you
to experiment with new recipes & collaborate in the kitchen
I cannot wait to walk our dog
And continue to check your weather
I will always be with you at Thanksgiving
And find you air conditioning in the summer
to bring you flowers and further increase your collection of vases
to rub your back and make you laugh when you are stressed
I will make you soup and take the bestest care of you when you are ill
to help you with puzzles & make you silly graphs
to grow herbs and pepper and cucumbers and tomatoes
I promise to live my life with you, to live it for us and our family.
My future is with you and I will love you forever.

Sarah: I promise
to laugh with you every day
to hold hands when we walk
to hold you when you cry
to be experimental (in the kitchen)
not to laugh too loud when you're napping
to try not to be too judgy
to say please and thank you
to tell you when you're funny
to make you as comfortable as I can
to get off the couch when you want to go outside
to say I love you before I've had coffee at least twice a week
to let you win at Scrabble every now and then
to leave you alone when you're playing with your toys
to put the pictures your mom takes in an album
to be quiet when you need it
to keep coming up with nicknames for you
and to keep the ones secret that you ask me to
to include you in every joke
to listen when you say "it doesn't matter"
to be strong when our family needs it
but also to be gentle with you
not to laugh at your dancing
to never stop courting you
to stand with you in all of nature as often as possible, no matter how small
to learn how to iron and fix my computer
to look at you doe-eyed when there's something heavy to carry
and afterward to tell you how strong you are and rub your back
to try to be patient in the airport
to let you order the salmon if you want it more
I promise that everything of mine is yours.

PHOTOS!!!!

Thank you EVERYONE! What a wonderful, miraculous day we had with all of you. We cannot begin to express our appreciation for the smallest acts of kindness over the past few months.

In preparation for our trip to Greece, we've just woken up from a siesta and are drinking heavily sugared coffee. One of those statements is a lie.

While we're gone, we were hoping everyone with pictures could upload them to the Snapfish page we started to memorialize our big day.

Album: Everyone was fantastic

We sent an email with the login information but we don't want to post it here for the whole world to read. If you would like to upload photos there and haven't received the login info please email us posthaste and we will reply in the same manner.

Thanks again for being a part of our wedding! It means so much to us!

Love,
Alden & Sarah
